Java and Jargon "How to Make the UDO Make Sense"
Grab your coffee and let your voice be heard!
Join us for Java & Jargon: Making the UDO Make Sense—a free breakfast event created to help residents, business owners, and community leaders understand and engage with Reidsville’s updated Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
This isn't just a presentation—it's your chance to provide public input before the UDO is finalized and adopted. Whether you're a property owner, developer, small business, or just care about the future of Reidsville, your voice matters.
☕ Event Details:
📅 Tuesday, September 16, 2025
⏰ 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 The Carriage House at The Penn House, 324 Maple Avenue
Breakfast and networking begin at 8:30 AM — food is provided first come, first served, so come early for coffee, mini biscuits, and conversation.
💡 What’s the UDO and Why Does It Matter?
Reidsville’s UDO hasn’t had a full overhaul since the 1980s. The new version reflects our community’s vision for growth, sustainability, and business-friendly development. But zoning, signage, and land use can feel overwhelming—so we're breaking down the jargon in a way that makes sense.
🗣️ What to Expect:
-
A plain-language UDO overview from city leadership
-
Expert insight from land use consultant Chad Meadows
-
A panel discussion with planners, developers, and city staff
-
Q&A session to get your specific questions answered
-
A clear path to provide feedback and input before adoption
📣 Be Part of the Process:
Send your UDO questions or comments in advance to planning@reidsvillenc.gov or submit online at www.rebootreidsville.com/participate.
This is a free event, but RSVP is required. Seating and breakfast are limited — first come, first served. Don’t miss this opportunity to shape the future of Reidsville’s development!
